About the author:She was born in 1966 in Klagenfurt, Austria. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (Akademie der Bildenden Künste) in Vienna in 1988, specializing in graphics under Prof. M. Melcher. As a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Science and Technology, she also specialized in traditional Chinese calligraphy at the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in Hangzhou, China, from 1988 to 1989. In the 1980s, she studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, earning a master’s degree in painting and graphics under Prof. G. Kettner, and later moved to Paris where she lived and worked until 1994, also studying at the Ecole Supérieure du Spectacle, focusing on theater and dance. Her exhibiting career began in 1987 with her first exhibition in Trieste, Italy, and since then she has presented solo and group exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Italy, China, and France. Her works are represented by galleries in Klagenfurt and Vienna and are part of the collections of Austrian state and municipal institutions of the City of Vienna and the City of Klagenfurt. She received a scholarship award in 1987 and 1988, as well as two honorary awards for fine arts from the Carinthia region in 1993. She lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
