Budor Robert – Kamenjak x1

Born in 1954 in Zagreb. Graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Šime Perić. He was an associate of the master workshop of Prof. Lj. Ivančić and N. Reiser. He works as a freelance artist and, in addition to painting, is engaged in book design and theatrical design. He has organized more than 20 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. In 2003 and 2005, he took part in the 4th and 5th Interbalkan Symposium of Visual Arts on the island of Samothraki as a representative of Croatia.

Budor’s painting is characterized by an intimate landscape created through layered color filtering, an almost monochromatic field where white appears as a pronounced exception, a relief, but also a place of pure painterly gesture… His landscape space is one of abstract painterly action as well as spiritual, imagined, virtual.
