Jelena Dabić – Immortelle

Bora in Varaždin, Croatia in 1981, Jelena displayed her artistic talent already as a ehild of 12, when she had her first exhibition. After completing the elementary and secondary education in Varaždin she enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where she graduated in 2006. She has participated in many individual and group shows and art colonies in Croatia and abroad. In 2007 she was a member of the first Croatian female alpinist expedition elimbing Himalaya (Cho Oyu), which strongly influenced her artistic inspiration. To be in touch with nature is a powerful stimulus for Jelena and a huge incentive for her work and the continuity of the inspiration she finds in forests, rocks, mountains and valleys. She uses her intense relationship with nature in her Creative and educational activities. Her main form of expression is a powerful, expressive draw-ing. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Artists. She lives and works in Zagreb and Varaždin.
