Heckelmann Ernst – Part of the Hill

He was born in Bavaria in 1948. From 1968 to 1974, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He has participated in many recent exhibitions, and his work for the Bavarian State Opera in Munich is of exceptional significance. His paintings are in many collections and have been acquired for the Bavarian State collection. He is also the recipient of several scholarships (Munich, Stuttgart), and he stayed at the International Art Camp in Kuala Lumpur. He received an award from the city of Ebersberg for his work.

Since childhood, Heckelmann has been fascinated by landscapes. He quickly records his “nature sketches” on the canvas field with gestural strokes (often on unconventional surfaces), creating unique, timeless dimensions.
