Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1975. In 1994 she enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana in the class of Professor Gnamuš, graduating in industrial design in 2000. She worked on graphics in Urbino, Italy, under the tutorship of Missieri, Bartolmeoli and Guerra and then started a postgraduate course in graphics (professors Suhy and Muhovič) and painting (professors Gnamuš and Muhovič), completing it in 2008 and receiving the title of Master of Arts in painting and graphics. In 2001 she won the first award for portrait and in 2006 for graphics. Her project called ’Zoja – a painting worth a million Euros and 24 cents’, which referred to the condition of art today, was particularly well noted. One of her vvorks was seleeted this year in one of the most eminent contests in Northern Europe to be sent to the Kunsthal Charlottenborg Exhibition in Copenha-gen. Catherina has exhibited individually and in group shows in Slovenia, Portugal, Denmark, Great Britain, Croatia and Spain. In her work she combines different media with her artistic passion and gained knowledge. It is recognised by a prominent degree of the poetic and the aesthetic. She lives in Ljubljana and since 2002 vvorks as a freelance artist. She is a member of the Union of Slovene Fine Arts Associations (ZDLSU).
