Zoltán Enzoe Nagy, born in 1970 in Komárno (present-day Slovakia), graduated from the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Košice and continued his studies at the Faculty of Theology of Charles University in Prague, alongside attending art photography courses at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He began his artistic career in photography under Tibor Huszár and in the early 1990s shifted toward painting, influenced by his father Menyhért Tiszai-Nagy and Košice artists Štefan Filep and Dušan Baláž. His work encompasses fantasy landscapes, portraits ranging from lyrical to grotesque irony, expressive lighting-driven landscapes, and monumental painting often inspired by film and literature. He has participated in many collective and solo exhibitions across Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic (including Gallery Makek in Rab, Croatia), Italy, South Korea, and beyond. He has earned international awards such as the Third Special Prize of the International Jury (2008, Italy), the Critics’ Special Award (2009, Italy), and the Special Prize of the city of Porto Sant’Elpidio (2009, Italy).
