Borik Michal – Recreation

Born in Bratislava, Slovakia, in 1978. From 1999 to 2006 he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, in the class of Professors J. Berger and R. Sikora. He exhibited in twelve group exhibition shows in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria, and had several individual shows in his home country. In 2010 he received a Painting Award given by VUB Bank Malba in cooperation with the Ministry of culture. He lives and works in Bratislava. Artistic engagement of this exceedingly talented young artist focuses on visual fascinations with depersonalized spaces, monochrome spaces with a thought out composition and a specific atmosphere.
