Savchenko Serhiy – Eruption I, II, III

Born in Lviv, Ukraine, in 1972. He graduated from the College of Decorative and Applied Art in Lviv in the class of Professor Trush in 1991. In 1998 he graduated from the Lviv Academy of Fine Arts. Savchenko has a long record of exhibition shows. He has presented his work across Europe and the world: in his native Ukraine, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Svvitzerland, Great Britain, Germany, Turkey, Poland, Canada and Australia. He is the author of numerous performances, installations and other innovative art projeets that he presents on his own or in collaboration with other artists. He has received several awards in Ukraine and Austria. His works are held in national mu-seums and galleries, as well as many private collections. He lives and works in Lviv in Ukraine. Through the specific treatment of colour, the entwining of the erotic and the melancholic, through the figuration, as well as through the inelination to artistic experiment, his work refleets the tradition of Ukrainian and Russian painting.
