Pernar Krsnik Karolina – F 45

Born in Zagreb in 1978. When she completed the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, studying at the Department of Metal Design, she went to Perugia in Italy where she specialised in goldsmithing at Consorzio Futuro. In 1999 she enrolled in a sculpture study programme at the Academy of Fine Arts Pietro Vannucci, also in Perugia. She graduated from the Academy in 2004 and fmished the school of artistic metal-work Trattamento Artistico dei Metalli in Pietrarubbia run by the sculptors Amaldo Pomodoro and Nunzio di Stefano. Karolina has been a member of the Croatian Freelance Artists’ Association since 2008. She has exhibited her work in a dozen individual and numerous group shows worldwide. For her artistic activity she has received several awards and acknowledgements including a distinguished first prize at the 9th Edgardo Manucci Sculpture Competition in Arcevia, Italy. Her work can be found in museum and gallery collections in Fabriano, Pietrarubbia, Rome, as well as many private collections. She lives and works in Zagreb.
