Runtić Ingrid – Loggia

She was born in 1967 in Osijek but has lived in Zagreb since childhood. She graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Prof. Vasilij Josip Jordan and has been a member of HDLU since the same year. She went on a scholarship to the Vienna Academy, where she also completed her master’s degree. Until 2006, she lived in Vienna, working as a set designer and painter in the studios of Austrian State Theatres, writing prefaces, and opening exhibitions. Today she lives in Zagreb, conducting painting seminars at private academies in Vienna, Graz, and Linz. After returning to Zagreb, she has been exhibiting more intensively.

She represents figurative expressionism with unrestricted thematic and morphological concerns. The strong energy of her handwriting is visible in clear, pure contrasting colors. Her attention is drawn to the southern Dalmatian landscape as well as everyday scenes from city streets. She is an excellent draughtswoman of the nude, free in her own depiction (self-nude), with enjoyment equal to that in mastering landscape forms.
