Born in Varaždin in Croatia in 1984. After completing the School of Applied Arts and Design, the Department of Textiles, she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, studying at the Department of Teaching and graduating in painting in the class of Professor Raić. During the studies she visited the Academy of Applied Arts and Design in Bratislava where she studied the methods of dry and thermal Processing of artistic glass. She participated in and organised numerous workshops, while her mixed-media painting-creativity vvorkshops contribute to the development of originality and imagination in children. For her activities in this area and the participation in the Academy of Arts ’project ’Winter on the island’ she received the Chancellor’s Award in 2008. Lila is a member of the Artists Association of Varaždin, where she lives and vvorks. As well as painting, she also vvorks in illustration, design and making of jewellery and glass sculptures. She uses traditional painting techniques alongside new media. In a recent cycle called ’Family regressions’ she decided to do family photograph portraits in her favourite medium of watercolour.
