Mustafa Skopljak – Butterfly

About the author:She was born in 1987 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. After completing her secondary education at the School of Applied Arts, majoring in textile design, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, in the teaching department, in the class of Prof. R. Tadić, where she earned a master’s degree in painting as well as conservation and restoration. In 2006, she attended a specialist mosaic school in Ravenna, Italy. She regularly participates in exhibitions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, and European countries, and takes part in numerous art colonies and workshops. She is active in organizing various artistic projects that combine different crafts through work realized as art. She represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Mediterranean Youth Biennial in Milan, the Biennial of Young Artists in England, and in a group drawing exhibition in Japan. She is an active participant in “Sarajevo Winter” (an international festival), a member of the art association M.L.A.Z, and the Association of Visual Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She lives in Sarajevo, where she works as a senior assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts.
