About the author:
She was born in 1969 in Ljubuški, BiH. She completed the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1991, studying the first two years at the Corcoran School of Art in the USA. She has participated in several significant group exhibitions and held solo exhibitions in Croatia and abroad: USA, Jordan, Estonia… She has been a member of HDLU since 1996. She is the recipient of the UNESCO Aschberg Scholarship for painting in 1996. She lives and creates in Zagreb.
In her painting, she adopts a motif, analyzes it pictorially, and seeks its essence of beauty. She usually constructs her works through a clear composition of the whole and all segments, using a grid where all particles maintain clarity. In her painting expression, she opts for a free gesture and the expressiveness of brushstrokes, thus achieving a surface full of vibrancy.
