About the author:
The Croatian painter was born in Skopje, Macedonia. He studied veterinary medicine and architecture, and graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb under the class of today’s emeritus professor Đuro Seder. He studied Public Art in the USA, at the Sommerakademie in Salzburg, and in 1998 he professionally worked and developed his skills at the Cable Factory in Helsinki. He is a member of HDLU and HZUS. He has exhibited at about 20 solo exhibitions and over 30 group exhibitions. He has received numerous awards, including those from UNICEF and UNESCO in the field of art. He engages in painting, drawing, installation, photography, video, and writing.
The themes of his artistic work have strong social, humanistic, and ecological connotations with a special emphasis on the individual and their role and significance on this planet. He is a painter of abstract expressionism who, creating his own archetypes of pictorial narration, breathes out his transformed personal vision of color within fields of pure painting where color carries the visual story.
