Altio Giorgio – Integration

Italian painter born in 1949, lives and works in Pordenone, Italy. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, followed by a diploma from the International Graphic School in Venice. He then undertook study stays and calligraphy seminars in France. Since 1970, he has exhibited successfully, and his numerous award-winning works are part of public and private collections.

His work carries all the specifics of material painting. The artistic expression is based on an almost relief-like treatment of the surface with paint, enlivening the surface by incorporating non-paint materials, most often quartz. Through the luminous-spiritual magnetism of color, he expresses the diverse and complex in the simple, closing the form into a symbiosis of metaphoric elements with strong symbolism.
