Andrej Pavlič – Urban Landscape

Andrej Pavlič was born on May 18, 1957, in Ljubljana (Slovenia). After finishing secondary school, he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, graduating in 1981. He was a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Slovenia (DSLU) from 1982 to 1984 and became an independent professional artist. In 1994, he perfected his skills at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. He has participated in numerous artistic gatherings and colonies, group exhibitions (more than 130), and held about 65 solo exhibitions (Paris, Willach, Klagenfurt, Zagreb, Belgrade) worldwide. He has received multiple awards in Slovenia and abroad. He lives and works in Ljubljana. The interweaving of past, present, and future is one of the most important characteristics of Pavlič’s art, which often exists as a fusion of painting and sculpture.
