Bakliža Darko – Female Nude II

He was born in 1958 in Krapina. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, in the class of Prof. Emeritus Đuro Seder. He is an assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. His paintings have been exhibited in Croatia and abroad, and he has received numerous awards. He has created more than twenty scenographies for theater. He also works as a writer and composer. His animated films are The First Story (2002), Connection (2004), and Theory of Reflection (2006). He has exhibited films at more than forty festivals worldwide and has won 8 domestic and international awards. He is a member of HDLU. He is a painter of quick and impulsive strokes, with an expressive trace that records and follows inner impulses and rhythms; he is an excellent draftsman balancing between intuitive and analytical recording, lyrical gesture, and deliberate proportions.
