Bakliža Darko – Grička Dove 1

He was born in 1958 in Krapina. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, in the class of Professor Emeritus Đuro Seder. He is an assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. His paintings have been exhibited in Croatia and abroad, and he has received numerous awards. He has created more than twenty stage designs for theater. He also works as a writer and composer. His animated films include The First Story (2002), The Connection (2004), and Theory of Reflection (2006). He has presented his films at more than forty festivals worldwide and has won 8 domestic and international awards. He is a member of HDLU. He is a painter of quick and impulsive strokes, an expressive trace that records and follows inner impulses and rhythms, an excellent drawer who balances between intuitive and analytical recording, lyrical gesture, and deliberate proportions.
