Bakotić Ozren – Stone Sphere

Ozren Bakotić (Split, 1972) is a Croatian painter and stage designer. After graduating from the School of Fine Arts in Split, he earned his degree in painting in 2000 at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Macerata, Italy. Since 2002, he has been actively working as a stage designer, collaborating with the Croatian National Theatre Split, the City Youth Theatre, and the Split Summer Festival, where he created set designs for plays such as Antigone, The Libertine, and The Widows, while also working as an assistant to renowned scenographers. He is the recipient of the Muzio Giannobi Awards (1999, 2000) and has held solo exhibitions in Split and Zagreb. In his work, he emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of stage design, balancing aesthetics with functionality, and embraces modern technologies in shaping theatrical space.
