Balić Šimrak Antonija – Woman’s Body

About the author:She was born in 1969 in Patna, India. She graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design, and in 1992 received a degree in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. Since 1993, she has worked as a professor at the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb, and since 2009 has been permanently employed at the Faculty of Teacher Education at the University of Zagreb, currently holding the title of associate professor in the Department of Artistic Field. Since 2012, she has been the vice-dean for teaching and students at the same faculty. She has exhibited in fifteen solo and numerous group exhibitions both domestically and internationally, and has received several awards, including the AICA Award at the IX Croatian Sculpture Triennial in 2006. She is a member of HDLU and HULU, and is the founder and artistic director of the organization “Mandala Studio.” She is the author of several picture books and art portfolios for children published by the “Profil” publishing house. She lives and works in Zagreb.
