Bešlić Nina Iris – Dendrelaphis Punctulata

Nina was born in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1979. She completed the Secondary School of Fine Arts, Department of Design, in Split and graduated horn the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Professor Zlatko KauzlarićAtačin 2004. She has exhibited in ten individual and about twenty group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. She has won several awards and subventions for painting. Apart from her freelance artistic activity, since 2006 she has been involved in sociological-pedagogical work via artistic-educational programmes in partnership with non-governmental organisations, academies and artistic associations. This activity has significantly influenced her creative work, where she explores the dimensions of physical and mental spaces, trying to erase the boundaries between them. In 2010 she launched her own project “Recycle and Wear – R&W” which she presents through painting workshops, performances and recycled material product design. She is a member of theCroatian Association of Artists, the Croatian Association of Artists and Art Critics and the Croatian Freelance Artists’ Association. She lives and works in Zagreb.
