Beus Borut – Nocturama – Night View

Borut Beus was born in 1966 in Ljubljana (Slovenia). He studied at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana, where he graduated in art pedagogy. He is a painter, sculptor, designer of unique jewelry, and educator known especially for his socio-psychological conceptual projects on which he has worked independently or together with other artists, often creating under a pseudonym. His work follows the continuity of the European painting tradition, but it is also a blend and articulation of different visual languages, with a specific harmonic and chromatic system. He is the author of the notable high-profile project “Vsi ljudje mečemo enako senco” (All People Cast the Same Shadow). He teaches visual culture at the Secondary School of Economics in Ljubljana, and teaches Project Learning for Youth (PUM). He has participated in the Transgenerations festival, numerous group exhibitions, and colonies in his country and abroad.
