About the author:She was born in 1971 in Maribor, Slovenia, and grew up in Trata in the Slovenske Gorice region. She graduated in 1999 from the Faculty of Education in Maribor with a degree in art education under the mentorship of sculpture professor Darko Golija, and in 2001 from the painting department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana under the mentorship of professors Metka Krašovec and Dr. Sc. Nadja Zgonik. In 2009, she earned her master’s degree in sculpture under the mentorship of professor Lujo Vodopivec, with the thesis: Different Dimensions of Reality. Since 2002, she has been self-employed in culture. In 2013, she completed professional training at the University of Maribor to become a professional associate-teacher in the subject area of special didactics. She engages in drawing, painting, sculpture, embroidery, artistic actions, and teaching. For ten years, she has organized and led art workshops for children and adults and curated exhibitions of the resulting works. Since 2006, she has lived, worked, and created in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia.
