Bezjak Saša – Female (Woman)

About the author:She was born in 1971 in Maribor, Slovenia, and grew up in Trata in the Slovenske Gorice region. She graduated in 1999 from the Faculty of Education in Maribor in art pedagogy under the mentorship of sculpture professor Darko Golija, and in 2001 from the painting department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana under professors Metka Krašovec and Dr. Sc. Nadja Zgonik. In 2009, she earned a master’s degree in sculpture under the mentorship of professor Lujo Vodopivec with the thesis: Different Dimensions of Reality. Since 2002, she has been self-employed in the cultural sector. In 2013, at the University of Maribor, she was professionally trained as a specialist collaborator—teacher for the subject area of special didactics. She works with drawing, painting, sculpture, embroidery, artistic actions, and teaching. For ten years, she has organized and led art workshops for children and adults and organized exhibitions of the works created. Since 2006, she has been living, working, and creating in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia.
