Budor Robert – Kamenjak x2

Born in 1954 in Zagreb. Graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Šime Perić. He was a collaborator in the master workshops of Prof. Lj. Ivančić and N. Reiser. He works as a freelance artist and, in addition to painting, is also engaged in book design and theatrical design. He has held more than 20 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. In 2003 and 2005, he took part in the 4th and 5th Interbalkan Symposium of Visual Arts on the island of Samothraki as a representative of Croatia.

Budor’s painting is characterized by an intimate landscape created through layered filtering of color, almost monochromatic fields where white appears as a pronounced exception, relief, but also a place of pure painterly gesture… His landscape is a space of abstract painterly action but also a spiritual, imagined, virtual one.
