Buracchi Martina – On Rab Sea 2

She was born in 1977 in Sinalunga, Siena. In 2002, she graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, and in 2003, she obtained a diploma from the Boccioni Art Lyceum in Verona. She has exhibited throughout Italy and won awards: in 2000 and 2002 – 1st prize for the best young artists in Chiusdino (Siena), and in 2001 a special award at the 3rd Contemporary Art Review in Italy. Although she presents herself with landscapes at the colony, her artistic focus is on the human or animal figure (horses) immersed in an existential context. She often chooses jute as the base, which she treats with pure color pigments combined with various binders, non-paint materials.
