About the author:
He was born in Venice, Italy, in 1958. After completing high school of art (Liceo Artistico Statale), he graduated in painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. He also attended seminars at the Milan JVC (professional video courses). He was a member of the Palazzo Carminati artist group from Venice. He has received several international scholarships in Canada, the USA, Austria, and Germany. He works as a visual artist, poet, and performer.
In 1980, he launched the event “Vetropittura & Vetropoesia,” anticipating his work in the medium of glass as a fusion of graphic, glass forms, and poetry. He is the author and performer of numerous “sound” sculptures such as “Poevetro,” “Vetrocantara,” “Vetrofono,” “Vetrorganica.” The primary medium of his artistic expression is glass, and he also uses other transparent materials as well as various sound and light instruments in his work.
Since 1981, he has been a collaborator of the international magazine Poesia Zeta, and he has published two books (in 1990 and 1995) on the subject of poetry. He is the author of many films and videos on artistic research, a participant in art festivals, a member of Cinema Indipendente Italiano and Centro Studio Vetro Murano. His works are part of numerous public and private collections, and he lives and works in Treviso.
