Carland Lillian – Great Flood of the Yangtze River

Lillian was born in Susek (Vojvodina), Serbia, in 1948. She studied at Victorian College of Arts, University of Melbourne, in the Department of Painting, and graduated as a postgraduate student from the School of Art and Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in the class of Professor Dommenico de Clari. She has been exhibiting her work for 39 years, participating in more than 200 group and 29 individual exhibitions across continents and including “Two Women Two Worlds” in Shanghai, China, World Biennial of Miniature in Toronto, Canada, DeuxiemeTriennaleMondialeD’Estampes in Chamalieres, France, Tradition and Cosmopolitanism, Victoria Museum National Gallery, Melbourne, Australia, National Museum in Belgrade, Serbia; HuanRufo-concertina on parchment, Mexico City, Mexico and UNESCO, Paris, as well as Italy, Hungary, USA (San Francisco) and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She was awarded L. Lazarević Gallery Award and Majdan Art for miniature. She lives in Australia and Serbia.
