About the author:
He was born in Weilheim, Germany, in 1946. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He then specialized at the University of the Arts in Berlin, and in 1983, he was a scholarship recipient of the city of Munich.
He has organized about fifty solo domestic and international exhibitions and participated in around one hundred group exhibitions: in Munich, Hanover, Vienna, Nuremberg, Frankfurt, Budapest, Milan, London, Cairo, at the international biennial in Poland, Berlin, Genoa, Piacenza,… He is a recipient of the German State Prize for Visual Arts. He is a member of the BBK-Bayer art association. His works are part of numerous collections: the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and many galleries, the Fondazione Reverberi in Genoa,… Many publications have been released about his work and several television documentaries have been filmed. He lives and works in Maitenbeth, Germany.

His painting is marked by the expression of a powerful, free gesture which he records on canvas with pure color. Oriented towards pure action painting, using lavage, he creates splashes and spills with his gesture stretched across vast fields, modeling with dense pigment, thus bringing the painting process itself to the forefront. The paintings are his personal psychograms that depict the artist’s intensity and strong energy liberated across the spaces of the painting canvas.
