Cieslar Andrzej – Around the Corner

Andrzej Cieślar (b. April 7, 1981, in Český Těšín, Czech Republic) is a Czech painter of Polish descent. He studied fine arts at the University of Silesia in Katowice (2002–2006) and currently lives and works in Hlučín. Cieślar’s work is notable for its strictly geometric compositions and use of acrylic on canvas or panel. He has exhibited widely throughout Central Europe, including in Prague, Ostrava, and Rab, and his notable solo exhibition Obrazy was featured at Galerie Ščigol in Prague in 2019. His earlier solo show at Galerie Tinta in 2012 highlighted his mature, distinctive painting voice.
