Darko Bakliža – Female Nude III

He was born in 1958 in Krapina. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, in the class of Professor Emeritus Đuro Seder. He is an assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. His paintings have been exhibited in Croatia and abroad, and he has also received numerous awards. He has created more than twenty scenographies for theatre. He also works as a writer and composer. His animated films are “Story One” (2002), “Connection” (2004), and “Theory of Reflection” (2006). He presented his films at over forty festivals worldwide and won 8 domestic and international awards. He is a member of HDLU. He is a painter of fast and impulsive strokes, an expressive trace with which he records and follows internal impulses and rhythms; he is an excellent draftsman who balances between intuitive and analytical recording, lyrical gesture, and thoughtful proportions.
