About the author:
She was born in 1971 in Split. She graduated in 1995 from the Faculty of Science and Teacher Education in Split, today the Academy of Fine Arts, earning the title of professor of art culture and restorer. She earned her doctorate in the postgraduate doctoral artistic study of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2017 under the mentorship of Prof. Igor Rončević and Prof. Dr. Jane Žiljak Vujić. Since 1995, she has exhibited in 32 solo exhibitions in Croatia, Belgium, and Australia and participated in over 100 juried group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. She specialized through a residency in Paris (Cité Internationale des Arts, 2006). She is the author of nine visual-urban installations and two happenings at the International Street Festival Cest is d’Best. Since 2007, she has been the director of the visual arts program of the festival, where she is also the author and director of three projects. She is co-author of numerous textbooks (visual arts) for elementary school students. Employed at the Croatian Conservation Institute since 2004, in the Department of Easel Painting. She has received several awards, recognitions, and commendations for her artistic and pedagogical work: the Annual State Award Ivan Filipović 2012 and the Order of the Croatian Danica with the image of Antun Radić in 2013. She holds the honorary title AFIAP of the International Federation of Photographic Art since 2013. She is a member of HDLU, InSEA (International Society for Education through Art), and the IIC-Croatian group. She lives and works in Zagreb.
