Dijana Nazor – Sounds of the Sea II

She was born in 1971 in Split. She graduated in 1995 from the Faculty of Science and Education in Split, today the Academy of Fine Arts, earning the title of art culture professor-restorer. She obtained her doctorate in the postgraduate doctoral artistic painting study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2017 under the mentorship of Prof. Igor Rončević and Prof. Dr. Jane Žiljak Vujić. Since 1995, she has exhibited in 32 solo exhibitions in Croatia, Belgium, and Australia, and participated in over 100 juried group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. She specialized professionally during a residency in Paris (Cité Internationale des Arts, 2006). She is the author of nine visual-urban installations and two happenings at the International Street Festival Cest is d’Best. Since 2007, she has been the head of the visual arts program of the festival, where she is also the author and leader of three projects. She is a co-author of numerous textbooks (visual arts) for elementary school children. Since 2004, she has been employed at the Croatian Restoration Institute, in the Department of Easel Painting. She has received several awards, recognitions, and commendations for her artistic and pedagogical work: the Annual State Award Ivan Filipović 2012, and the Order of the Croatian Danica with the image of Antun Radić 2013. She holds the honorary title AFIAP from the International Federation of Photographic Art since 2013. She is a member of HDLU, InSEA (International Society for Education through Art), and IIC-Croatian group. She lives and works in Zagreb.
