Drinković Vitar – Wormhole (galactic picosperm)

Born in 1983 in Zagreb, Croatia where he also completed his elementary and secondary education. In 2002 he starts studying sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and graduates as one of a hundred best Croatian students of the year. He received a special Chancellor’s Award for his project ’ Jelsa ? Punta 2005’. As a participant in an intemational student exchange programme he spent a term at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2006. He has had several individual and about fifteen group exhibitions, and made five public space sculptures. He is a member of the Croatian Association of Artists and the Croatian Freelance Artists’Association. Alongside sculpture, he also works in animation, video, music and graphic design. Although young, he has already received several awards, participated in workshops and art colonies, made set designs and a documentary. He makes and composes his sculptures of various materials ineluding traditional ones, wax, and even čast objeets such as toys. He lives and works in Zagreb.
