About the author:
She was born in 1969 in Ljubuški, BiH. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1991, studying the first two years at the Corcoran School of Art in the USA. She has participated in several significant group exhibitions and held solo exhibitions in Croatia and abroad: the USA, Jordan, Estonia… She has been a member of HDLU since 1996. She is a recipient of the UNESCO Aschberg scholarship for painting in 1996. She lives and works in Zagreb.
In her painting, she adopts the motif, analyzes it painterly, and seeks its essence of beauty. The construction of the work is mostly carried out through a clear construction of the whole and all its segments, with a grid in which all particles retain clarity. In her painterly expression, she opts for a free gesture and expressiveness of strokes, thereby achieving a surface full of vibrancy.
