Duparova Emilija – Female Nude x2

Emilija Duparova was born in Split on October 11, 1967. She completed Secondary School of Fine Arts, department of decoration, in Split with professor Gorki Žuvela. In 1986 she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and in 1988 continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where in 1991 she graduated painting in the class of professor Z. Kauzlarić Atač. Since 1996, she has lived in Rijeka, where she works as an assistant professor in the painting department at the Academy of Applied Arts. She is a member of HDLU in Split, Zagreb and Rijeka as well as the art association LIKUM. Besides painting and drawing, she is engaged in photography and video, spatial art actions ranging from authorial art happenings, environments and installations, to public spatial projects, events and theater scenography. To date, she has realized several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions both domestically and internationally.
