Duparova Emilija – Landscape 2

Emilija Duparova was born in Split on October 11, 1967. She completed Secondary School of Fine Arts, department of decoration, in Split with Prof. Gorki Žuvela. In 1986, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and in 1988 continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where she graduated in painting in 1991 in the class of Prof. Z. Kauzlarić Atač. Since 1996, she has been living in Rijeka, where she works as an assistant professor in the painting department at the Academy of Applied Arts. She is a member of HDLU Split, Zagreb, and Rijeka as well as the artistic association LIKUM. In addition to painting and drawing, she works with photography and video, spatial artistic actions including original art happenings, environments and installations, as well as public spatial projects, events, and theater scenography. So far, she has realized several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions both domestically and internationally.
