Đuro Seder – Palms with Roofs Above

He was born in 1927 in Zagreb. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Antun Mejzdić. He completed a specialty in painting under Prof. Marino Tartaglia. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he served as dean from 1983 to 1987. He lives and works in Zagreb. He is a member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU). He is one of the most significant figures in contemporary Croatian painting. He has also published poetry. His paintings are in museums, galleries, and private collections both domestically and abroad.
