Dvornik Bondora Iris – People Masks

She was born in 1952 in Zagreb. She graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Professor Nikola Raiser. She is a member of HDLU, LIKUM, and BBK (Association of Professional Artists of Bavaria). Since 1980, she has begun a successful exhibiting career, presenting solo exhibitions in Poreč, Zagreb, many cities in Germany, London, Udine, as well as in numerous group exhibitions. She stepped onto the art scene at the right moment, during the return to painting. From the beginning, devoted to personal iconography, she selects the human figure as a permanent motif and metaphor, using a wide range of artistic techniques. Today she paints with strong brushstrokes and newly acquired gesturality, oriented toward a coloristically strong expressive palette and unsettling composition with a pasty application but visible graphic elements.
