Dvornik Iris Bondora – Impression from the Mediterranean 6

Born in 1952 in Zagreb. She graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Nikola Raiser. She is a member of HDLU, LIKUM, and BBK (Association of Professional Artists of Bavaria). Since 1980, she has begun a successful exhibiting career, presenting solo exhibitions in Poreč, Zagreb, numerous cities in Germany, London, Udine, as well as in many group exhibitions. She entered the art scene at the right moment, marking the return to painting. From the beginning, devoted to personal iconography, she chooses the human figure as a permanent motif and metaphor, utilizing a wide range of artistic techniques. Today, she paints with strong brushstrokes and newly acquired gesturality, oriented towards a coloristically powerful expressive palette and a disturbing composition with thick layers applied but visible graphic elements.
