Dvornik Iris Bondora – Untitled 1

She was born in 1952 in Zagreb. She graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Nikola Raiser. She is a member of HDLU, LIKUM, and BBK (Association of Professional Artists of Bavaria). Since 1980, she has begun a successful exhibition career presenting solo exhibitions in Poreč, Zagreb, many cities in Germany, London, Udine, as well as many group exhibitions. She entered the art scene at the perfect time, at the return to painting. From the beginning, devoted to personal iconography, she chooses the human figure as a permanent motif and metaphor, using a wide range of artistic techniques. Today she paints with a strong brushstroke and newly acquired gesturality, oriented towards a coloristically strong expressive palette and a disturbing composition with thick impasto but visible graphic elements.
