Emilija Dupar – Nude

Emilija Duparova was born in Split on October 11, 1967. She completed the High School of Fine Arts, decoration department, in Split under prof. Gorki Žuvela. In 1986, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and in 1988 continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where she graduated in painting in 1991 in the class of prof. Z. Kauzlarić Atač. Since 1996, she has been living in Rijeka, working as an assistant professor at the painting department of the Academy of Applied Arts. She is a member of HDLU of Split, Zagreb, and Rijeka, as well as the art association LIKUM. Besides painting and drawing, she works with photography and video, spatial art actions, from authorial art happenings, environments and installations, to public spatial projects, events, and theater scenographies. To date, she has held several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions both domestically and abroad.
