Emilija Duparova – Landscape

Emilija Duparova was born in Split on October 11, 1967. She completed the High School of Fine Arts, department of decoration, in Split under prof. Gorko Žuvele. In 1986, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and in 1988 continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where in 1991 she graduated in painting in the class of prof. Z. Kauzlarić Atač. Since 1996, she has lived in Rijeka, where she works as an assistant professor at the painting department of the Academy of Applied Arts. She is a member of HDLU in Split, Zagreb, and Rijeka as well as the art association LIKUM. In addition to painting and drawing, she works with photography and video, spatial art interventions, ranging from authorial art happenings, environments and installations, to public spatial projects, events, and theater scenography. So far, she has held several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
