Emilija Duparova – Landscape IV

Emilija Duparova was born in Split on October 11, 1967. She completed Secondary School of Fine Arts, department of decoration, in Split with professor Gorky Žuvela. In 1986, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and in 1988 continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where she graduated in painting in 1991 in the class of professor Z. Kauzlarić Atač. Since 1996, she has been living in Rijeka, where she works as an assistant professor in the painting department at the Academy of Applied Arts. She is a member of HDLU Split, Zagreb, and Rijeka, as well as the art association LIKUM. Alongside painting and drawing, she engages in photography and video, spatial art interventions, ranging from authorial visual happenings, environments and installations, to public spatial projects, events, and theatrical scenography. To date, she has realized several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions both domestically and internationally.
