Erdeljanin Maja – Red Like a Watermelon

She was born in 1971 in Novi Sad (Vojvodina/Serbia). She graduated from the painting department of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Prof. D. Todorović. She completed her master’s studies with the same professor. She has participated in over 130 group exhibitions and in more than sixty art colonies and symposia (Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Norway, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Austria). She has held about forty solo exhibitions across Europe. In 2003, she stayed at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.

She is a member of SULUV and ULUSA. She is a co-founder and president of the Gallery and Association of Visual Artists “DA”, a member of the astronomical society “ADNOS”, president of the artistic council of SULUV, and the art editor of the “PODRUM” gallery. In 2005, she also became the editor of the visual arts program at the Cultural Center of Novi Sad, and from 2007, a co-founder of the gallery and group “16_11 Urban District”. Three books have been published by her (the novel “Naglas”, “Skice kuvarice”, and the travelogue “La razglednica”).
