Faley Ales – They Leave 33

Born in a village in the Baranovichy region in Belarus in 1959. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belarus (1983 – 1988) and in 1992 he graduated from the Faculty of Technology in Vitebsk. He has been a member of the Belarusian Association of Painters since 1998. Ales has exhibited in more than a hundred shows, about twenty international colonies and symposia in Belarus, Poland, Italy and Germany. He has also had more than thirty individual exhibitions. His work is displayed in many galleries and museums, including the Museum of Modem Art in Minsk, University of Visual Arts in Ireland (Cork), Russian museums and private collections around the world. He received the first place award at the international arts festival in St Petersburg in 2006, and the second place award at the International fine art and sculpture symposium Penza in 2011. He employs various media, from painting to graphics, tapestry, metalwork to installations.
