2006 / mixed media on canvas / 50×70 cm
About the author:
He was born in 1972 in Rome. He graduated in scenography from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome, where he still lives today. He has been exhibiting since 2002. So far, he has held three solo exhibitions in Rome and three group exhibitions (in L’Aquila, Venice, and Rome). He is the recipient of several awards.
His “Riemann Triptych” represents a visual paraphrase of a biblical saying with the theory of prime numbers: whoever is first, is always first, all others are just their reflections, like in Alice’s mirror. Only the first figure has a mouth that can say something, while the others are mute. White, almost ghostly faces on a red background unfold a story about the beginning and the end – the beginning is in the concrete number, the end in the illusion.
