Gazić Mario – Crocodile

A Zagreb native born in 1981, who received his artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Split. He has participated in numerous themed and juried exhibitions and art festivals and has held three solo exhibitions. His artistic work is characterized by a clear self-ironic detachment through which he presents himself and the world, touching on areas in his work that are both intimately his own and universal, close to everyone. He employs almost all techniques and diverse visual expressions to grasp the meaning and content of what most occupies him. In his latest paintings, within a single scene, he places figures that logically do not belong together, opening many questions about the meaning and significance of perception, as well as about enjoying the image as an aesthetic fact, as a place of harmony and logic within the formal and design characteristics themselves.
