Heckelmann Ernst – Palm 2

He was born in Bavaria in 1948. From 1968 to 1974, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He has participated in many recent exhibitions, and his work for the Bavarian State Opera in Munich is of exceptional importance. His paintings are included in numerous collections and have also been acquired for the Bavarian State collection. He is the recipient of several scholarships (Munich, Stuttgart) and has stayed at the International Art Camp in Kuala Lumpur. He received an award from the city of Ebersberg for his work.

Since childhood, Heckelmann has been fascinated by landscapes. He quickly inscribes his “nature sketches” on the canvas with gestural strokes (often on unconventional surfaces), creating unique, timeless dimensions.
