Jana Jakimovska – Rab Noon

She was born in 1981 in Skopje. She graduated from the painting department of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje under Prof. Velo Tasovski in 2005, and earned her master’s degree at the same university under the mentorship of Prof. Antonio Maznevski in 2009. She has presented nine solo exhibitions – in Belgrade, Kumanovo, and Gevgelija, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Greece, Lithuania, Turkey, Germany, and the United States. With 12 years of teaching experience, initially as an assistant to Professor Elizabeta Avramovska at the Faculty of Architecture, she became an associate professor at the Art Academy of Goce Delčev University in Štip in 2013. She mainly paints but also creates installations in public spaces, and works in photography, illustration, and graphic design.
